Class Re-union PDF Print E-mail
This page may need an explanation -- It is the Class of '65 40 year re-union page for Salmon High School.  I attended the re-union August 18, 2007 in Salmon.  OK -- If you've been around my site, you know I actually graduated in '65 from Laurel High School in Laurel, Montana.  So why I am I posting the Salmon, Idaho re-union?

I attended the Salmon Schools for 11 years, and moved between my Junior and Senior years (1964) to Laurel.   Since I had been in Salmon all those years, my class has claimed me as an "honorary" Salmon graduate, even though I did not attend there my senior year.

Ok, next problem.  This was the class of '65's 40th re-union, and if you do the math, this is 2007, which means '65 was 42 years ago.  Well, does it count that we started planning the 40th in 2005?  And we finally got to it two years late?  Makes perfect sense for a class that rarely seemed to get anything done on time, ever....  We had our 30th in 1996, which was one year late, so we're not doing so bad.  I'm assured that there WILL be a 45 year re-union in 2010.  Well, we'll see when the time comes.  Smile

One nice thing about Salmon -- Since I knew I was leaving after my Junior year, I took a LOT of pictures that last year of my friends at school, and after I moved, I sent copies of many of them to the Salmon Yearbook staff, and many of the candid shots in the '65 yearbook came from those snapshots.  The yearbook staff circulated a yearbook for me, had it signed by everyone that remembered me, and sent it to me at the end of the Senior year.   After a couple of weeks, I finally got the entire yearbook posted for anyone the might want to see it ..... (It's complete with all the nice things everyone put in it when they signed it.  Maybe the key to being an OK person is to be gone!)

Here are snapshots from the re-union, posted without comment, for anyone to enjoy.

Update -- Del Aldous was kind enough to send me the pictures he took.  They are mixed in along with mine.  Thanks, Del !!
